Membership Has It's Privleges

Comrades,

We here at Disco-Salsa are glad to help you in any way we can. We wish to take a brief moment to briefly touch on our event posting policy, which is not set in stone.

Disco-Salsa is a private membership website.  We belong to a web ring of other disco.com websites who are respective of one another. We have a responsibility to our membership and our disco web ring members. Therefore, the advertising of profit or non-profit events must be approved by the Disco-Salsa Administrators. Disco-Salsa will post all events that meet with our approval.

Non-members of our website or web ring may submit their requests for posting consideration. You are not seeking our approval to have your event, but only the opportunity to advertise your event on Disco-Salsa's Website.

We ask that you consider the following:

(1) Same Day  Events - Insure you event does not conflict with other promoters events. Please do some research or ask if your event may conflict with another promoters event.

(2) Respect For Others - Please be respectful of other promoters events verbaly, in  person, or on the message boards.

(3) Promoting - Please do not pass out your flyers at our promoters venues (inside or outside) without their permission. Business Cards are permissible. Please check with the hosting  promoters to be clear of what their promoting policy is during their venues.

(4) Show Support - By showing support for other promoters venue's you will gain their respect and support. Other web ring members may allow you to post your event on their website at their discression.

(5) Acceptance - If your event is not granted approval, remain calm & understanding about the decision. Perhaps your next event will be approved. Please look at the long range picture. Promoters that last in the business long term know that there will be many more events to promote. Becoming upset will not foster a working relationship from those promoters that do work togethere.

Disco-Salsa has built a repore with the promoters of the various disco.com websites,as we are listed on their links page. These promoters are appreciative that we list their events and activties on Disco-Salsa's WebSite. We are a non-profit entity.

Our interest is to bring back Disco Hustle dancing reminiscent of the numbers of the 70z and 80z. Our decision to post events on this website is motivated in our belief of unity and harmony among all the promoters. We believe in doing what best serves the interest of the 70z,80z,90s,R&B,Salsa and latin music community in general.

We are in no way the gate keepers or the keymasters of the universe, but just an advertising tool to list promoters events. One day we may have an event listed as a headliner and the next day we may list another event as the lead event. We reserve this right and the promoters who work with us understand our position. Promoters compete for the same pool of people.

Sometimes peoples music tastes can cross one another. The competition for the $ dollar remains unchanged. I myself like Salsa, Latin Rock n Espanol, R&B, Disco and some New Wave.

Promoters would have to compete for our business.

If you can share in our beliefs as a community, we are more than happy
to list your upcoming event on our website.

Sincerely,

Yoda
Disco-Salsa
